About

About this project.

The Day After is an independent, non-partisan thought experiment. It is not affiliated with any political party, campaign, or advocacy group. There is no donate button, no newsletter, no tracking.

The characters are fictional. Their mornings are composites drawn from published economic analysis — work by Trevor Tombe at the University of Calgary, the C.D. Howe Institute, the Alberta Federation of Labour, and the Alberta Prosperity Project's own fiscal plan. Every claim is sourced on the sources page.

We made it because the referendum debate has been conducted, on both sides, mostly in slogans. The morning after won't be a slogan. It'll be a Tuesday.
